Our History

After 90+ years, the area's oldest veterinary practice and oldest animal charity is still going strong.

Worthing Animal Clinic has seen numerous changes over the years, both in terms of its evolving culture and in veterinary practice.  From modest origins the charity now provides a fully equipped clinic, staffed by a veterinary surgeon and nurse, both of whom are full time and qualified, supported by ancillary staff and providing a comprehensive range of services.  Yet it has not strayed from its original mission: to provide a kindly and helpful service to all animals in need.

We are always on the lookout for historical information about the charity, particularly the 60s and 80s.  If anyone has any news cuttings or other sources of information featuring the clinic or reliable recollections, please contact the clinic (and if you spot any errors in the history also!).
